What is this, "troll week"?   Sorry for adding fuel fellas.....didn't get a chance to read the last few pages till this morning....What a bunch of dix....A perfect representation of Baltimore if you ask me.  lol!   But i sort of like it.  It gives me the opportunity to show my natural immaturity.....I think it's official now.   I hate the ratbirds even more than the Steelers....B-more has choked several times this year in games they were supposed to win, remember the Monday nighter in Jacksonville anyone?   Soooooo, that being said , it's bold prediction time up in here....

Browns 23, Ravens 16,  UPSET SPECIAL!   BOOK IT!

There officially exists a lapse in the time, space continuum as there seems to be a dimension that the Browns just don't have.  I have never in the history of watching football seen  the "redzone" disappear off the face of the charts.  If the Browns do not score from outside the twenty you are almost guaranteed a field goal 90% of the time. After the 55-yard pass to Hillis setting Cleveland up first-and-goal from the maybe seven, they went three predictable plays and out AGAIN.

It happens week in and week out.  How does that occur when your stud running back is in full health and he has basically averaged four yards a carry today?  How does a guy like Evan Moore, who many of us have been pushing to get playing time, drop a ball perfectly placed in his hands.  That won't exactly instill confidence by the guy that doesn't seem to really want you out there in the first place.

How is it that the Browns can give Colt McCoy protection anywhere on the field (not always or often) but when it comes to crucial real estate inside the 10, they crumble every single time?   How is it week thirteen and absolutely no answers to any of our questions have been given?

For example who the hell taught everybody on tis team how to catch?  Whoever their fathers, coaches, brothers, friends, whoever should be shot.  I have never seen a collection of "pro" athletes that couldn't catch silly putty if you threw it to them.  This is literally like the fourth week in a row I have seen quarterbacks on the other team virtually throw directly to our defensive backs dead in their hands and they drop the ball.  Those are vital possessions a team like Cleveland could ill afford to just give away.  That changes both momentum and field position.  Those are almost automatic scores as they often happen inside the fifty.  Okay well maybe not automatic for the Browns but most teams.

This team is just baffling.  The defense played the run pretty well outside of letting Ray Rice get loose a couple of big plays, but then the DBs get beat by receivers WIDE OPEN downfield.  When the backfield does well, the defensive line and linebackers fall apart.  I have never seen a team that can't get all their guys on the same page on both sides of the ball at least 60% of the time.  No one is asking for perfection as that would almost instill mass suicide.  We are just asking for the not to suck more than they do well.

Longbomb...you put in words what I couldnt. Am lost for words actually. Fell asleep during the game. Probly out of self preservation more then anything...

Prediction: Shurmurs going to get canned (never should of been a HC to begin with) & Holmgrens going to bail, retire back to Seattle & count his cash.

I've been a fan of this team since my family moved to Ohio in the early fifties and I have had enough.  I intend to finish out the seaon in FFB and finish up my pick 'em thread and then . . . adios.

Thats pretty harsh Lym. You can quit on the Browns but no need to quit on football or your buddys. Fantasy & pick-ems are for fun & camraderie no matter what else

Thats pretty harsh Lym.
So is the realization that this franchise will never be what it once was.  Not in today's NFL.  The Browns have turned into easy pickings for the NFL carpetbaggers that swoop in with 10 pounds of promise but no substance.  This team has been the doormat of the NFL for the better part of the past 12 years.  Please tell me what magic bean has been planted by this front office that leads any of you to think that we are gaining ground on ANY of the other three teams in this division.

During the brief off season we were told that the wide receivers were capable of producing in the West Coast Offence.  Six (?) weeks later, they cut one of them.  Who took his place?  Are you telling me that there was not a single free agent out there better than Robiske?

During the brief off season we were told that the O-Line was one of the strong points of the team.  It was unfortunate that the starting RG went down with a season ending injury and we ended up being forced to start virtual rookies at both guard positions.  Don't even argue the starting right tackle position.  This guy is nothing more than an orange construction barrel.  You telling me that there were zero free agents available to up-grade the line over two rookies and a turnstile?

To be fair, the front office did go out and sign a free agent running back as insurance against injury.  He never made it to the regular season.  Neither did Hillis (for the most part) or Hardesty (for the most part).  We end up STARTING a running back from someone's practice squad with his back up another practice squad refugee.  Did anyone ever wonder why the running backs keep getting injured?  Hillis is a no brainer.  It's his running style.  But you see, that was a big secret that no one was supposed to figure out.  Gee, one RB that runs himself into the emergency room, another that couldn't make it to the regular season last year and a third who couldn't make it to the regular season this year.  But, no problem because we have a wide receiving core that can take the pressure off of the running game.

Again, to be fair, Heckert had a decent draft last year with Ward and Haden.  Problem was they couldn't cover people for 30 seconds a play due to the complete lack of a pass rush.  Enter Sheard and Taylor.  Good job!  This year the Browns are ranked #1 against the pass.  Oh, wait.  That's because we are also ranked #31 against the run and no one needs to pass against us.  The only free agent defensive player I can think off is Sheldon Brown from last year.  Guess what.  He couldn't cover me and I'm a fat azz 63 year old smoker.

Who, in their right mind would believe that this team is on the rise?  Other than the coaching staff who tells us EVERY PHUQUING WEEK that he sees improvement.  To be fair, maybe he does but it must be in the other team.  Holmgren should be sued for breach of contract for allowing this guy to assume both the head coaching job -and- the offensive coordinator job . . . with no off season and minimal preparation time.

In the meantime . . . the Steelers just keep re-loading.  The Ravens turn over 20 players this season vs last and the Cinncinatti phuquing Bengals were gutted ever more than us!  Care to take a look at the current AFCN standings?  No? Thenlook at the NFC North.  The Lions were 0-16 3 years ago?  Take a look at the NFC West.  49er's just clinched their division.  How about the AFC West.  A Tim Tebow led Bronco team is tied with the freakin Oakland Raiders atop that division.  Yet all we get is bull chit.

I am simply tired of being lied to by the front office of this franchise.  For the past five years, I never demanded a Super Bowl or even a Playoff spot.  Just a competive team that was fun to watch because they always had a chance to win.  Didn't get it then, won't be getting it in the forseeable future.

You can quit on the Browns but no need to quit on football or your buddys. Fantasy & pick-ems are for fun & camraderie no matter what else
I look at it this way.  I'm not quitting on the Browns.  They quit on me.  I'll stick around on here just to raise a little hell once in a while and maybe bust Duff's chops.  But I refuse to defend this franchise any more.  I'm sure the current coaching staff and front office believe they are doing everything they can.  DO NOT CONFUSE EFFORT WITH RESULTS!
