Cardinals manager Tony La Russa said he's started to think about what he wants to do in 2011, but he isn't ready to talk about it.
"We're going to talk after the season's over," La Russa told MLB.com's Matthew Leach . "I've started to think about it."
La Russa was asked if he was leaning either way.
"[I'm doing] information-gathering," La Russa said. "Still trying to figure out. I haven't been thinking about it, and now I'm starting to think about it."
La Russa's contract is up after the season. He agreed to a one-year contract last October after his two-year contract expired. Since taking over the Cardinals following the 1995 season, La Russa hasn't had a contract longer than three years at a time.
