The Mets may have a trade working, as prospects Ruben Tejada and Fernando Martinez were late scratches from Triple-A Buffalo's lineup on Friday.

When asked by Andy Martino of the New York Daily News about the scratches, Mets general manager Omar Minaya said, "I've got nothing to say about that. We'll see."

The team could be calling up the two, or they may have worked out a trade.

The Mets are 2-4 since last Saturday's trade deadline.

Tejada, a second baseman, is hitting .280/.329/.344 with a home run and 16 RBI. Martinez, an outfielder, is hitting .255/.321/.466 with 12 home runs and 33 RBI.

UPDATE: ESPNNewYork.com's Adam Rubin quotes two sources as indicating the Mets have a trade in place with the Mariners. Rubin speculates Martinez could be going to Seattle, while Tejada could be a call-up if the team is able to move second baseman Luis Castillo.
